Here’s a new early Black Friday 2020 tool deal, featuring Makita’s 18V X2 cordless track saw. We’ve seen a couple of different Makita track saw deal bundles in the past, but this one’s a bit different.
Buy the Makita brushless track saw kit, XPS01PTJ, and you get a free 39″ guide rail AND a free sub-compact brushless impact driver.

A free bare-tool sub-compact impact driver? Sure, that’s kind of random, but it’s a great impact driver nonetheless.
The guide rail typically retails for $79, and the brushless impact driver, XDT15ZB, typically retails for $109.
This promo is based on the Makita XPS01PTJ kit, which comes with the brushless track saw, (2) 5Ah batteries, 2-port simultaneous charger, and 2 modular tool boxes to hold it all in.
- 6-1/2″ blade size
- Can plunge-cut
- 2500-6300 variable speed
- Easy depth adjustment with scale
- Dual bevel supports
- -1° to 48° bevel range
- 22.5° and 45° bevel stops
- 2-3/16″ cutting capacity at 90°
- 1-9/16″ cutting capacity at 45°
- Works with (2) Makita 18V Li-ion batteries
- On-board battery fuel gauge
It can be used with or without a guide rail, and with or without dust collection.
The deal is valid while supplies last, or thru January 24th, 2021. The bonus items are automatically added to your cart.
Price: $499 with free shipping
Should You Buy it?
Well, do you need or want a cordless track saw? This is a great saw, and while the free bonus impact driver bare tool is unexpected, that’s an extra free bonus that wasn’t previously included in this deal bundle.
It’s not a question of buying it – I highly recommend this saw – but a question of should you buy it now. I see no reason to wait, or at least I haven’t seen anything to suggest that better deals are waiting.
At the time of this posting, the promo looks to be excluded from Makita’s $25 off $100 select tools holiday discount, and that’s likely the same at other dealers.
There might be other deals later in the holiday season, but based on historical pricing, it’s unlikely for this bundle deal to get any better or less expensive. Adding an impact driver into the bundle all but guarantees that it won’t move from the $499 price point.

The other retailers I’ve checked are not (yet?) offering any bonus items with the track saw kit.
