For the second year in a row, there are slim pickings, and promo prices aren’t as low as they’ve been in the past. There are two options – buy now and request a price match if there are surprise Black Friday sales, or wait and see what comes out.
If you decide to wait, we also expect to see discounts on miter saw and saw stand bundles. Brand retailers keep a tight lid on such deals until Thanksgiving or Black Friday morning, but we’ll be on top of things.
Dewalt 12″ Sliding Miter Miter Saw – $399

The Dewalt DWS779 is always a top seller every year for Black Friday, and it’s easy to see why – it offers great performance at a fantastic value. The DWS779 is significantly less expensive than Dewalt’s flagship DWS780 miter saw ($629 at Amazon), although it does give up some features.

The Dewalt DWS715 miter saw is better suited for users who want a more compact and lighter saw without sacrificing too much cutting capacity. It features a 12″ blade size and can cut boards up to 2×8 at 90° and 2×6 at 45° with a single pass.
